Paul Feeley was a painter who created hard-edged, symmetrical abstractions using biomorphic shapes and flat color fields, influencing the development of Color Field painting. He taught at Bennington College where he mentored important artists including Kenneth Noland and Jules Olitski. His work is held in the Guggenheim, the Albright-Knox, and other major collections.
