Ryan Johnson is a Brooklyn-based visual artist known for his sculptures crafted from materials such as wood, medical casting tape, and sheet metal. His work explores strange spatial compressions, surreal displacements, and quasi-Futurist illusions of movement. Johnson grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia, holds a BFA from Pratt Institute and an MFA from Columbia University, and has exhibited at institutions including MoMA PS1, Casino Luxembourg, The Contemporary Museum Honolulu, and the Saatchi Gallery London.
