Pietro Bazzanti

Pietro Bazzanti (1825–1895) was a prominent Italian sculptor based in Florence, renowned for his exquisitely crafted marble works that captured neoclassical and romantic ideals. He operated a highly successful studio and shop on the Lungarno Corsini, which became a celebrated destination for wealthy Grand Tour visitors and international collectors. Bazzanti is particularly known for his idealized figurative sculptures, including nymphs, mythological subjects, and portrait busts, many of which appear regularly at major auction houses worldwide.
