Paul Dorival (1901, 1987) was a Haitian self-taught painter celebrated for his vibrant depictions of everyday Haitian life, voodoo ceremonies, and tropical landscapes. He was among the pioneering artists associated with the Centre d'Art in Port-au-Prince, which launched the Haitian Renaissance in the mid-20th century. His expressive use of color and folk-art sensibility made him a significant figure in Caribbean and outsider art markets.
