Hans Vredeman de Vries

Hans Vredeman de Vries (1527–1607) was a Flemish Renaissance painter, architect, and engineer renowned for his elaborate architectural fantasies and perspective studies. He worked across the Low Countries and Germany, producing highly influential works featuring ornate classical interiors, garden designs, and perspectival compositions. His printed architectural treatises and pattern books shaped the visual culture of Northern European Mannerism for generations.
