Matteo Rosselli (1578–1650) was a Florentine Baroque painter who trained under Gregorio Pagani and later Domenico Passignano, becoming a prominent figure in the Florentine artistic community of his time. He was known for his religious and mythological compositions and ran a busy workshop that produced numerous altarpieces and frescoes for Florentine churches and noble patrons. Works attributed to him reflect the influence of the late Florentine Mannerist tradition transitioning into the Baroque style.
