Angelo Caroselli was an Italian Baroque painter active primarily in Rome, known for his eclectic style blending Caravaggesque naturalism and chiaroscuro with the low-life genre scenes of the Bamboccianti. He produced religious works, allegories, portraits, and genre scenes, with a recurring fascination for witchcraft and sorcery subjects. His distinctive approach proved influential on fellow Caravaggisti including Pietro Paolini and Dirck van Baburen.
