Sleeping Baby (Yellow Variant)
2015
A large screenprint from the enigmatic, Hackney based artist. This work was released to support the NHS in the UK. While thousands queued for the work, ultimately only 100 signed and numbered prints were released in Blue, Yellow, Red and Silver variants. Based on the artist’s “Rough Sleeper” work (influenced by his years of homelessness on the streets of Hackney), “Sleeping Baby” is a similar image yet an entirely different feel. Due to the artist’s newly found distaste for editions (he will often times buy editions back to limit secondary market exposure), this is one of his most sought after works (trades in the range of many of his originals). Yellow and Red are the most sought after variants.
