Tracey Rose

Tracey Rose is a South African conceptual artist born in Durban in 1974, whose provocative and multidisciplinary practice spans video, performance, photography, and installation. Her work critically engages with themes of race, gender, sexuality, postcolonialism, and identity, often drawing on her own body as a site of political and cultural interrogation. Rose has exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale and major institutions across Europe, Africa, and the Americas, establishing herself as a significant voice in contemporary African and global conceptual art.
