Muntean/Rosenblum is a collaborative artistic duo consisting of Markus Muntean (born 1962, Graz, Austria) and Adi Rosenblum (born 1962, Haifa, Israel), who have worked together since 1992. Their practice spans painting, drawing, video, and installation, characterized by large-scale figurative works that juxtapose adolescent figures rendered in a style reminiscent of Old Master paintings with fragmented text drawn from contemporary literature, philosophy, and popular culture. Their work critically examines existential themes, generational malaise, and the construction of identity in consumer society, earning them international recognition in galleries and institutions worldwide.
