Jean Perzel (1892, 1986) was a Czech-born French master glassmaker and lighting designer who became one of the most celebrated luminaire artists of the Art Deco period. He established his celebrated Parisian workshop in 1923, revolutionizing interior lighting through the use of opaline glass and precisely engineered forms that diffused light with exceptional elegance. His meticulously crafted lamps, sconces, and chandeliers were prized by architects and decorators furnishing the finest residences, ocean liners, and public buildings of the interwar era.
