Hendrik Verschuring (1627, 1690) was a Dutch Golden Age painter born in Gorinchem, Netherlands. He was renowned for his dynamic landscape paintings frequently populated with soldiers, cavalry, and horses, blending the traditions of landscape and battle painting. Verschuring studied in Italy and brought an Italianate sensibility to his Dutch compositions.
