Emilio Sanchez

Emilio Sanchez (1928–1999) was a Cuban-American artist renowned for his distinctive architectural paintings and lithographs that capture the vibrant light, shadow, and color of Caribbean and Latin American buildings. Working primarily in gouache, watercolor, and printmaking, he developed a highly recognizable style characterized by bold geometric compositions, dramatic contrasts of light and shadow, and richly saturated colors.
