Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt (1878, 1955) was a Swedish-born American modernist painter and printmaker who became a significant figure in early American modernism. He was a pioneer of color woodblock printing in the United States and developed a distinctive technique of printing multiple colors from a single block, known as the 'Nordfeldt method.' His paintings, ranging from bold landscapes to figurative works, reflect influences from Fauvism and Expressionism, and he was associated with avant-garde circles including the Provincetown Printers.
