Auguste-Xavier Leprince (1799, 1826) was a French painter known for his genre scenes, landscapes, and depictions of everyday life, often featuring figures in pastoral or coastal settings. A student of his father Nicolas-Bernard Leprince and later of prominent masters, he exhibited at the Paris Salon and demonstrated remarkable talent before his early death at age 27. His works reflect the influence of Dutch and Flemish genre painting blended with early French Romanticism.
