Jacques Charlier is a conceptual artist whose practice encompasses painting, photography, and installation, often using humor and appropriation to critique art market mechanisms and consumer culture. Active since the 1960s, he co-founded the fictional 'Musée d'Art Moderne, Département des Aigles' with Marcel Broodthaers. His work is held in collections including M HKA and Centre Pompidou.
