費丹旭 (Fei Danxu) was a prominent Chinese painter of the Qing dynasty, celebrated for his refined figure paintings, particularly his elegant portrayals of beautiful women (仕女畫) that became highly influential in 19th-century Chinese art. Born in Wucheng, Zhejiang province, he developed a delicate, lyrical style characterized by slender, graceful figures rendered with fluid brushwork and subtle ink washes. His works were widely collected and reproduced, earning him lasting recognition alongside contemporaries such as Gai Qi as a master of the literati figure painting tradition.
