Elad Lassry
Two works: i) Black Man, 2007; ii) Mother, Son and Daughter
Two works by Elad Lassry present intimate explorations of identity, family, and representation through his signature appropriation of found photographic imagery. In *Black Man* (2007) and *Mother, Son and Daughter*, Lassry reframes existing photographs within colored frames that assert the physical presence of the image as object, blurring the line between portrait and commodity. His clinical yet quietly unsettling approach draws attention to the coded languages of race, gender, and familial structure embedded within everyday visual culture.
