Chopped Bill
Hugh Scott-Douglas's *Chopped Bill* employs dye sublimation on linen to merge industrial photographic processes with the organic texture of a traditional textile support. The work investigates the intersection of digital image transfer and material surface, allowing the fabric's woven grain to subtly assert itself through the chemically infused color. The result is a tension between the mechanical precision of the sublimation process and the tactile, handcrafted associations of linen.
