Gustave de Beaucorps (1825, 1906) was a French amateur photographer and aristocrat who is noted for his pioneering photographic work in the Middle East and North Africa during the 1850s and 1860s. He traveled extensively through Egypt, Turkey, and other regions, producing calotype and later albumen print photographs that documented landscapes, monuments, and architectural sites with an artistic sensibility rare for the period. His work is historically significant as an early example of Orientalist photography, bridging fine art and documentary traditions at a time when photography itself was still emerging as a medium.
