Zhao Mengfu was a highly influential Chinese painter, calligrapher, and official of the Yuan Dynasty (1264-1322). Known for his mastery of landscape painting and calligraphy, he helped establish the literati painting tradition and served in various governmental positions during the Mongol rule.
