Michelangeli III
Michelangeli III is a collaborative work by R.H. Quaytman and Thomas Eggerer, combining oil paint, silkscreen, and gesso on wood to create a layered interplay between figuration and abstraction. The piece reflects Quaytman's rigorous, chapter-based approach to painting and her interest in the conditions of display, while incorporating Eggerer's fluid, gestural figuration. Together, the artists construct a dialogue between image and surface, where the physicality of the wood support and the mediated quality of silkscreen printing coexist in dynamic tension.
