Dans l'atelier de Picasso (In Picasso's Studio): three plates (M. 90; 98; 92, see C. Bks. 88)

This series of three lithographic plates by Picasso documents his studio practice through intimate compositional studies, each bearing the authentication marks of the renowned Parisian printer Fernand Mourlot. Created in 1957 as printer's proofs from an edition of fifty impressions on fine Japan Hodomura paper, these works reveal Picasso's continued engagement with the printmaking medium and his interest in representing the creative workspace. The presence of Mourlot's stamp and inventory notations on each piece attests to their provenance and status as significant examples of mid twentieth century modernist printmaking practice.

Medium
All annotaed 'Epreuve de L'Atelier Mourlot' and 'Og. Lith. de. P. Picasso' in pencil (printer's proofs, the editions were 50 on Japan Hodomura paper), published by Fernand Mourlot, Paris, 1957, with their stamp on the front and their inventory numbers on the reverse, all framed.
