In Pub-lik 5

France-Lise McGurn ’s In Pub-Lik 5  (2021) is a  monoprint that merges painting with printmaking. Each signed artwork from the edition of 10 begins with a silkscreen base and is then uniquely hand-finished with McGurn’s fluid, gestural brushstrokes, making all ten works distinct. Known for her dreamlike explorations of intimacy and fleeting moments through  Figurative Abstraction , McGurn blurs the line between figuration and abstraction, bringing spontaneity and immediacy into the edition format.
