In *Group of Birds*, Brad Kahlhamer assembles an eclectic array of materials—wire, leather, feathers, rubber, and ribbon among them—to conjure a flock of eighteen distinct creature-like forms. The work reflects Kahlhamer's signature blending of Indigenous and urban vernacular aesthetics, transforming everyday and found materials into something totemic and alive. Together, the eighteen parts create a sense of collective movement and identity, suggesting both the organic world of nature and the fragmented textures of contemporary life.
