Cerith Wyn Evans — ...in which something happens all over again for the very first time.
Cerith Wyn Evans

...in which something happens all over again for the very first time.

2006

A cascading arrangement of neon tubes twists and spirals through space, their luminous glow casting ethereal light across the surrounding environment. Evans transforms language and light into a singular poetic gesture, with the work's title functioning as both subject and inscription, looping meaning back upon itself. The flickering, seductive quality of the neon medium reinforces the piece's meditation on repetition, memory, and the paradox of experiencing something simultaneously familiar and new.
