Doppelpilzvitrine
Two identical oversized mushrooms, rendered in vivid polyurethane and acrylic, are encased within a sleek steel and glass vitrine divided into two separate compartments. Höller plays with themes of doubling and biological mimicry, presenting the fungi as both scientific specimens and uncanny objects of fascination. The clinical precision of the display case heightens the tension between the natural form of the mushroom and its artificial, hyperreal fabrication.
