Ruido

Ruido (Spanish for "noise") depicts a gardener with a leaf blower working in a manicured Los Angeles landscape, set against three iconic palm trees and a clear blue sky. The word "RUIDO" is spray-painted prominently across a beige wall in the composition. This work exemplifies Gomez's ongoing examination of the often-invisible labor force that maintains Southern California's affluent neighborhoods, giving visibility and dignity to domestic workers and landscapers.
