Yang Yongliang (b. 1980, Shanghai) is a Chinese contemporary artist whose work seamlessly blends traditional Chinese ink painting aesthetics with digital photography and video art. His large-scale composite images and video works create sweeping landscapes that evoke classical Song Dynasty shanshui paintings, yet are constructed entirely from photographs of modern urban environments, industrial structures, and cityscapes. Widely exhibited internationally and collected by major institutions, Yang is recognized as a leading figure in the dialogue between Eastern artistic heritage and contemporary technological society.
