Vladimir Kush is a Russian-born painter and sculptor often referred to as the 'Successor to Salvador Dalí' for his richly imaginative, surrealist-influenced works that blend fantasy, nature, and mythology into dreamlike compositions. Born in Moscow and trained at the Surikov Moscow Art Institute, he emigrated to Hawaii in the early 1990s, where the lush natural landscape profoundly shaped his signature style of 'Metaphorical Realism,' featuring imagery such as butterfly sailboats, flower suns, and anthropomorphic natural forms. Kush has established multiple galleries across the United States and internationally, and his works—including iconic pieces like 'Departure of the Winged Ship' and 'Firebird'—have garnered a devoted global following and been exhibited and collected worldwide.
