Táta Ronkholz was a German photographer known for her meticulous documentary series capturing the interiors and facades of Düsseldorf's kiosks and small establishments during the 1970s and 1980s. Her seminal work 'Trinkhallen' (1976–1978) systematically photographed the city's street kiosks, presenting them as cultural artifacts and social hubs with a deadpan, typological precision that drew comparisons to the Becher school. Though she died in 1997 before achieving widespread recognition, her work has been posthumously celebrated through exhibitions and acquisitions by major institutions, situating her as an important figure in German conceptual photography.
