Reggie Wilson is an American choreographer and artistic director of Fist and Heel Performance Group, founded in 1989, whose work is deeply rooted in African American vernacular movement traditions, spirituality, and the African diaspora. His choreographic practice, which he describes as 'Post-African/Post-Modern,' draws on influences ranging from African and Caribbean ritual dance to American gospel and blues traditions, creating works that interrogate cultural memory, religion, and Black identity. His notable productions include 'The Headlandds,' 'Moses(es),' and 'POWER,' and he has received numerous accolades including Guggenheim and USA Artist fellowships.
