Ningura Napurrula (c. 1938–2013) was a highly acclaimed Pintupi-speaking Aboriginal Australian artist from the Western Desert region, associated with the Papunya Tula Artists collective in Kintore, Northern Territory. She began painting in the late 1990s and quickly rose to international prominence for her distinctive large-scale works depicting Rockholes and Women's Ceremonies at Wilkinkarra (Lake Mackay). Her paintings are held in major institutions including the National Gallery of Australia and have achieved significant prices at international auction houses including Sotheby's and Bonhams.
