Len Lye

Lye was a pioneering kinetic sculptor and experimental filmmaker who worked internationally. His motorized metal sculptures like 'Universe' and 'Fountain' are celebrated for their movement and sound, while his direct animation films influenced generations of artists. The Len Lye Centre in New Plymouth houses the largest collection of his work.
