Ernest Trova (1927, 2009) was an American self-taught artist best known for his iconic 'Falling Man' series, a recurring figure that became a symbol of modern humanity's struggle within technological society. Working across painting, sculpture, and printmaking, Trova's streamlined, featureless chrome figures explored themes of identity, anonymity, and existentialism. His work gained international recognition in the 1960s and was collected by major institutions including the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
