George Ward Tjungurrayi is a highly regarded Aboriginal Australian painter from the Western Desert tradition, known for his intricate dot paintings depicting Tingari songlines and ancestral Dreaming stories. Born around 1945 near Kiwirrkura in Western Australia, he emerged as a significant figure in the Papunya Tula art movement. His works are held in major institutional collections and have achieved strong results at leading Australian auction houses including Sotheby's and Deutscher & Hackett.
