Stanislav Kolibal

Stanislav Kolíbal (born 1925) is a Czech sculptor, draughtsman, and stage designer renowned for his rigorous geometric and constructivist works that explore space, balance, and the tensions between order and instability. His sculptures and drawings often employ simple forms, lines, planes, and volumes, arranged in delicate equilibrium, reflecting a philosophical engagement with structure and fragility. Considered one of the most significant Czech artists of the twentieth century, Kolíbal has exhibited internationally and his work is held in major museum collections across Europe.
