Larva Labs

Larva Labs is a New York-based software and design studio founded by Matt Hall and John Watkinson, best known for creating CryptoPunks in 2017, one of the earliest and most influential NFT projects on the Ethereum blockchain. Their algorithmically generated collection of 10,000 unique 24x24 pixel characters helped define the concept of provable digital ownership and laid the groundwork for the modern NFT art market. Larva Labs sold the CryptoPunks and Meebits intellectual property to Yuga Labs in 2022.
